Rolling Pasties

The idea came to me not too long ago when one day I said to myself:"I really could do with a pasty right now!" Not being near Cornwall, the chances of me eating a REAL Cornish pasty that day here in Brussels were very slim.
A couple of years back, my Scottish grandmother use to bake dozens of pasties for my brother and I so we could bring them back to Brussels with us. (PS: Yes, you read that correctly...My Grandma was Scottish and made the best pasties ever. She was taught how to make them by her Devonian Mother-In-Law but that's another story!).
Well, my Grandmother is sadly no longer with us but Rolling Pasties brings you the next best pasties after hers! They come straight from Cornwall and are hand made. All the ingredients come from Cornish farmers and suppliers and I am very proud to be baking them here in Brussels for you!
Oh! One more thing...here is a short description for our French speaking friends:
Historiquement, les pasties servaient de repas aux mineurs, pêcheurs, travailleurs en exterérieur de toute sorte et même aux écoliers dans leur "lunch-box". Bien étanches grâce à leur pâte, ils étaient fourrés de viande et de légumes, conservés bien au chauds du matin jusqu'à l'heure du déjeuner.
Leur garniture dépandait de la richesse et des revenus de la famille: viande pour les plus riches, pommes de terre et légumes pour les plus pauvres.
Ils reviennent à la mode et sont parfois servis dans les pubs ou dans les véritables chaînes de Corinsh pasties à emporter et maintenant à Bruxelles par ROLLING PASTIES.
